This trip is great for beginners. For those who are looking for a little less paddling and still have time for fun swimming and exploring the island this tour is perfect for you. The paddle to and from the island is approximately 45 minutes each direction. This tour typically wraps around the tide giving you favorable currents both directions and large sandy beaches on the island to explore. It is a great tour for families with smaller children or for large groups.

Waties Island is South Carolina's northern most barrier island containing over fourteen hundred acres of natural pristine habitat. It's southern tip makes up Hog's Inlet while its northen most tip forms the southern portion of Little River Inlet. It boasts a rustic untouched three mile stretch of beach with spectacular views. This tour is great for families and large groups offering a perfect blend of scenic beauty and fun and excitement.

Exploration on the island's beach produces great rewards. Sand Dollars, Conchs, Welchs and other beautiful sea shells are commonly found along the beach and make great souvenirs. The tour guides are known for their expert crab catching skills and enjoy showing the different crabs that call Waites Island their home.

The island's inland habitat is thriving with wildlife including Black Bear, deer, fox, hog, and seasonal Bald Eagles.
