Justin: A Dedicated Navy Veteran and Passionate Kayaker
Navy Service: Justin served 7 years in the active component of the United States Navy, followed by his continued service in the United States Navy Active Reserves. He completed a combined total of 20 years in the Navy, retiring in July 2024.
Passion for Water and Nature: Justin's love for the water is evident; some even say he's better at swimming than walking! A true nature lover, Justin is passionate about nature and landscape photography.
Kayaking Expertise: As a Level 3 ACA (American Canoe & Kayak Association) Certified Coastal Kayak Instructor, he also obtained his Level 4 Open Water Kayaking Certification. Justin dedicates much of his time to teaching the local community the ins and outs of kayaking and kayaking safety. He has paddled the entire length of the Waccamaw River and aspires to kayak from Myrtle Beach, SC to Vero Beach, Florida, navigating the ICW and, at times, the Atlantic Ocean.
Background: Born and raised in Florida, Justin has traveled abroad thanks to his time in the Navy. He is always eager to please and loves sharing his knowledge and passions with others.
Laurie: A True Southern Gal and Outdoor Enthusiast
Background: Born in Ohio and primarily raised in Alabama, Laurie embodies true southern hospitality. With her welcoming nature, she has a unique ability to make everyone feel at home. In 2003, she moved to Myrtle Beach and found where her heart truly belongs.
Passion for Water Activities: Laurie seizes every chance to enjoy the water through kayaking or paddleboarding. She holds a Level 2 Kayak Touring Certification by the ACA (American Canoe Association). She is an integral part of every kayak tour, ensuring that each guest feels welcome and has an incredible adventure.
Family and Outdoor Adventures: Laurie's favorite place is with her family, especially during outdoor escapades. She loves hiking single-track trails in the mountains and taking morning walks on the beach, cherishing every moment spent in nature.

Our journey began with just two kayaks and full-time jobs, driven by a passion for the great outdoors.
